Food, Wine & Conversation with Chef Abra Berens and Winemaker Blake Lougheed

Join chef and author Abra Berens for a virtual cooking lesson featuring a recipe from Abra’s cookbook Ruffage, with wine pairing from Bel Lago winemaker Blake Lougheed. Enjoy a lively conversation surrounding food, wine, agriculture and everything in between as Abra walks you through the preparation of her Garlic Confit with Marinated Beans, and Blake explains the nuances and artistry behind successfully pairing wine with food (he’ll be preparing it for himself as well!)

Both Abra and Bel Lago are avid supporters of Michigan agriculture and business, so we will be using beans from Sheridan Acres – a fourth generation family farm located in Huron County (the thumb) for this recipe. Bel Lago Auxerrois Moreno Reserve and Pinot Noir will be our pairing choices.
